DFB Cup 1990/91 (women)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1991 DFB Women's Cup was won by Grün-Weiß Brauweiler , who beat champions TSV Siegen 1-0 in the final. The Brauweiler success was the greatest sensation in the history of the women's DFB Cup because Brauweiler was playing in the second-rate Regionalliga West at the time.

For the last time only the 16 state cup winners took part. From the next season, the Bundesliga teams were automatically qualified. Also this season a replay was scheduled for the last time if it is still a draw after extra time.
