FDGB Cup 1990/91
In 1990/91 the NOFV Cup was the last edition of the FDGB Cup of the German Democratic Republic. In the final in Berlin's Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark , Hansa Rostock won the title for the first time on June 2, 1991 in front of 4,800 spectators with 1-0 against Eisenhüttenstadt-based FC Stahl after having lost five finals. Since Rostock was also champion of the GDR league season 1990/91 , qualified in the following first all-German season in the third-class Oberliga Nordost competing Eisenhüttenstädter FC for the European Cup Winners' Cup 1991/92 . For the same reason, both finalists qualified for the first all-German DFB Supercup in 1991.
