Soccer
BSG Rotation Berlin
The company sports association (BSG) Rotation Berlin was founded on April 14, 1949. The soccer teams played their home games in the now demolished Ernst Grube Stadium in Berlin-Spindlersfeld . On a sporting level, the first team from Rotation Berlin commuted between the Berlin city league and the third-class Berlin district league until the mid-1970s. After unsuccessful attempts in previous years, rotation succeeded in the 1975/76 season in front of the promotion competitor Fortuna Biesdorf, winning the East Berlin championship and thus promotion to the GDR league .
In the GDR league, rotation was able to assert itself in the next three seasons with secured midfield positions, in the 1979/80 season the Berliners had to relegate back to the district league due to the poorer goal difference against the BSG KWO Berlin . After the immediate resurgence in the following year failed due to Lichtenberg 47 , rotation was able to prevail in the 1980/1981 season in front of SG Hohenschönhausen and rise again. Afterwards, the Berliners were continuously present in the second highest division until the NOFV league was dissolved in 1991 . The best place in the 1987/88 season was a second place behind Energie Cottbus , the promotion round to the GDR Oberliga , however, missed rotation behind the Lausitzers quite clearly.
BSV Rotation / BSC Marzahn
After the formation of civil associations became possible again in 1990, members of the previous BSG Rotation founded the BSV Rotation Berlin in May 1990. On October 14, 1991 the club was renamed BSV Spindlersfeld. The 1st football team, which was incorporated in the Oberliga Nordost in 1991 , had no chance due to a lack of financial resources and was relegated to the Verbandsliga Berlin after one season . The BSV Spindlersfeld was initially able to assert itself there. After renewed financial difficulties, the team was dissolved during the current season 1994/95 and affiliated to the BSC Marzahn, a successor club of the BSG Konsum Berlin founded in 1985, through a special regulation of the Berlin Football Association . Until 1992 it was called SV Konsum Berlin. The BSC took over the league place from Spindlersfeld. He was able to keep the class in the takeover season, but was relegated in 1996 from the Association League and in 1997 from the Landesliga Berlin. In the 2008/09 season, the team rose from the district league A to the district league. From there it went back to the district league A in 2014, and in 2015 even to the district league B.
The first women's team won the Berlin championship in the 2008/2009 season. In two relegation games for promotion to the regional league against the champions from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Rostock port , Christof Reimann's team prevailed with a 5-1 home win and a 5-2 away win. The first-time participation in the DFB Cup ended in the first round in 2013/14 with a 3-0 defeat against TSG Burg Gretesch . On June 5, 2017, the team, now trained by Christina Wedell-Westphal, defeated the SV Blau-Gelb Berlin team 4-1 in the final of the Polytan Cup and became the 2017 Berlin Women's Cup winners. This title entitles them to participate in the DFB a second time - Women's Cup in the 2017/18 season . In 2019 , the Marzahn women were relegated from the regional league.
