Volker Röhrich (born July 14, 1965 in Wismar ) is a former German soccer player and coach.

Röhrich moved in 1983 from TSG Wismar to Hansa Rostock in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of the GDR . In the 1985/86 season he was relegated to the GDR league with Hansa and was immediately promoted again in the following season. In the last GDR league season in history ( 1990/91 ) Röhrich won both the championship and the FDGB Cup with Rostock . In the master's year Röhrich came to 24 appearances in the league.

Röhrich played a total of 123 league, 23 league and 19 cup games for FC Hansa. He scored 32 league, 17 league and 11 cup goals. In the 1989/90 season Röhrich also played twice in the UEFA Cup . In the first round pairing against Baník Ostrava , he stood for the full 90 minutes and retired from the competition with Hansa after two defeats (2: 3 and 0: 4).

In November 1991 Röhrich moved to SC Fortuna Köln in the 2nd Bundesliga after he had rejected a contract offer from Rostock in the summer. Cologne, at the time bottom of the table, paid 150,000 D-Marks for Röhrich. With Cologne he ended the first all-German season on the penultimate place in the table, which would have meant relegation. Due to the revocation of the license from Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin , Fortuna Cologne moved into the relegation and prevailed here. In the following season he reached sixth place in the table with Fortuna. After two full seasons at Fortuna Cologne, Röhrich played five more games at the beginning of the 1993/94 season. He ran 37 times for Fortuna and scored nine goals.

In early September he moved to Arminia Bielefeld in the league and reached a third place in the table. After only one season with Ostwestfalen, he went to Parchimer FC in the summer of 1994 .

After the end of his playing career, Röhrich acquired his coaching license and coached SV Warnemünde football and TSV Graal-Müritz in 1926. In 1999 he became champions of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Association League with Warnemünde and rose to the Oberliga Nordost (North Staffel) .

  2. Robert Rosentreter , Günter Simon: Always close to the wind. 40 years of FC Hansa Rostock . The workshop, Göttingen 2005, ISBN 3-89533-504-5 . however indicates July 14, 1962. However, this appears to be a typographical error. The kicker sports magazine wrote in No. 91 of November 14, 1991: As the first new addition, the president of Fortuna, who was in danger of relegation, presented Völker Röhrich, a 26-year-old striker from Hansa Rostock's squad. Other sources such as transfermarkt.de and fussballdaten.de also list 1965 as the year of birth.
