The bayernliga 1990/91 was the 13th season of the Bavarian Football Association conducted Bayernliga as amateur league . The master of the Bavarian League played similarly to previous years in the promotion round against the champions of the other top leagues for the promotion to the 2. Bundesliga , while the runner-up to participate in the Amateur Championship was justified. From the Bayern League, TSV 1860 Munich finally qualified for the 1991 promotion round , in which they finally won promotion. 1. FC Amberg , Würzburger Kickers and VfB Helmbrechts were relegated to the subordinate leagues .

They were replaced in the following season by the teams of SpVgg Fürth , SC 08 Bamberg and TSV Schwaben Augsburg who rose to the Bayern League. 1. FC Schweinfurt was added from the 2nd Bundesliga .
