The 1st Amateur League Bavaria 1968/69  was the 19th season of the 1st amateur league in men's football in Bavaria - the forerunner of today's  Bayern League . At the time, this league was the top division of the Bavarian Football Association and was third-class in the German football league system of that time . Together with the 1st amateur leagues from Württemberg , North Baden , South Baden and Hesse , it represented the substructure for the Regionalliga Süd from 1963 to 1974 and the substructure for the 2nd Bundesliga South from 1974 to 1978 .

Season end

The SpVgg Bayreuth prevailed in a playoff for 1st place against the equal points BC Augsburg and rose as Bavarian amateur champion in the Regionalliga Süd. BC Augsburg took part as Bayern representative in the German amateur soccer championship in 1969 and failed in the round of 16 at Bremerhaven 93 Amat . The FC Münchberg and 1. FC Schwandorf had to dismount in the national league. As a newly promoted from the national leagues came to the 1969/70 season the 1. FC Bayreuth , the MTV Ingolstadt and SpVgg Vohenstrauß and Regional relegated TSV Schwaben Augsburg . TSV Schwaben Augsburg and BC Augsburg merged to form FC Augsburg for the coming season.
