The SV Türk Gücü Munich (Turkish: Turkish power / force ) was a soccer club from Munich .
history
Around 1972 a group of Turkish migrants around Alaattin Candar and Ömer Ilciktay formed the soccer team Türk Gücü Munich . After initial financial and personnel difficulties, however, financial support was obtained in 1975 and an official association was founded.
After continuous development, the club succeeded in 1988 with coach Peter Grosser - 1966 master player with TSV 1860 , who led the SpVgg Unterhaching in the then third-class Bayernliga in 1981 - promotion to that Bayernliga, and thus promotion to Berlin as the second migrant club after Türkiyemspor the highest level of performance for amateur clubs. Up to 12,000 spectators came to the derbies against TSV 1860 Munich . Goalkeeper Gerald Hillringhaus scored the German goal of the month against MTV Ingolstadt in September 1989 . Türk Gücü stayed in the Bayern League for four seasons until 1992 and was the third player in Munich football in this phase. Another relegation took place in 1996. In 1998, Türk Gücü had another chance to rise again as second in the regional league, but failed in the qualifying games against the second in the regional league, the amateurs of 1. FC Nürnberg.
In 2001 the association was dissolved after bankruptcy . The reasons for the decline are often cited as the loss of a strong Turkish identity through the use of numerous non-Turkish players and the emergence of satellite television broadcasting live matches from Turkish clubs such as Galatasaray , Fenerbahçe , Beşiktaş and others.
The successor club was the Turkish SV 1975 Munich, which was relegated from the South Regional League in 2002. Before the start of the 2009/10 season, the Turkish SV merged with the SV Ataspor. The first team of the new association, again in June 2019 Türkgücü Munich renamed, rose for the season 2019-20 in the League Bavaria and in 2020 in the 3. Liga on.
