Danuta Niemietz (* 15. December 1955 in Poland as Danuta Gontarska ) is a former Polish and German volleyball player .

Career

Danuta Gontarska played in her home country in Sosnowiec with Płomień Milowice until 1981 and was Polish champion here several times. She had seventeen appearances in the Polish national team . In 1981 she emigrated to Germany and took on German citizenship after her marriage. Until 1983 Danuta Niemietz played for Bundesliga club SV Lohhof , with whom she was German champion and DVV cup winner in 1982 and 1983 . The universal player then switched to league competitor TG Viktoria Augsburg , where she became German champion , DVV cup winner and CEV cup winner in 1985 . With SG / JDZ Feuerbach she won the DVV Cup again in 1987. Then she played for league rivals Türk Gücü Munich . Danuta Niemietz played many times for the German national team .

Today Danuta Niemietz works in the Faculty of Biology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .
