The SC 08 Bamberg is a sports club from the Upper Franconian city of Bamberg .
history
The club was launched on May 6, 1908. During the Nazi era, SC 08 had to merge with Sportfreunde Bamberg in 1933. After the war, the association was re-established on March 23, 1948. The glorious time began in 1988, when they rose from the district league to the Bayern league within three years . Bamberg took part in the DFB Cup in the 1991/92 and 1992/93 seasons . In 1991/92 SC 08 was eliminated in the round of 16, in 1992/93 in the second round. In the following years the crash took place down to the lowest division (A-class) in 2007.
