Tina Wunderlich (born October 10, 1977 in Schwarzenau ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Together with her sister Pia , Wunderlich began in the youth of TuS Schwarzenau, from where she moved to TSV Battenberg . She made her breakthrough when she moved to SG Praunheim, which was later renamed 1. FFC Frankfurt . She made her international debut in September 1994 against Switzerland.

Wunderlich was a defender and has played for 1. FFC since 1994. Her greatest successes include several German championships and winning the UEFA Cup in 2002, the two European championships in 1995 and 2001 with the German national team. Until 2015 she played for the women of Eintracht Frankfurt and coached the U16s of Eintracht. Since then she has been co-trainer of the first women's team at Eintracht.

In addition to her career as a football player, Wunderlich completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. She works at Fraport AG .

Tina Wunderlich holds the record of having played ten DFB Cup finals over the full season from 1999 to 2008 .
