The 1. FFC 08 Niederkirchen (full name: 1. Women's Soccer Club 08 Niederkirchen eV ) is a German women's soccer club from the Palatinate community of Niederkirchen . Under the name TuS Niederkirchen , the soccer players belonged to the Bundesliga for many years and won the German championship in 1993.

The TuS 1900 Niederkirchen association was founded in 1900. His women's football department has existed since 1969. The greatest success in the club's history was winning the German championship in the 1992/1993 season . TuS Niederkirchen belonged to the women's league until 2000 . In the 2001/02 season the TuS Niederkirchen was able to achieve promotion to the first division. However, he rose again the following year in the Regionalliga Südwest. With the renewed regional league championship, he made the leap into the relatively new 2nd Bundesliga (season south). The 2007/08 season marks the last game of the women's team. The club in danger of relegation did not apply again for admission to the 2nd Bundesliga in the following season. However, the team was not informed of this. For this reason, an independent association was founded on April 25, 2008 with the 1. FFC 08 Niederkirchen. At the end of the season, the team finished 9th and was therefore not relegated from a sporting point of view.

After two years in the regional league, the team returned as champions in the 2nd Bundesliga in 2010 and secured relegation on the third last match day. In April 2011 a - initially two-year - cooperation with 1. FC Kaiserslautern was announced from July 1, 2011, which was extended by two years in July 2013. In 2015 the team was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga, but managed to get promoted again in 2016. Two years later, the 1st FFC was relegated.
