The Bundesliga 1991/92 was the second season of the women's Bundesliga. The TSV Siegen was able to defend his title. In the final, the team beat the promoted Grün-Weiß Brauweiler 2-0.
Season course
As in the previous year, TSV Siegen remained undefeated during the preliminary round. Only in Bergisch Gladbach and Brauweiler did they have to be content with a draw. Brauweiler was the sensation team of the year. As a climber, you were second in the northern group straight away and later secured the runner-up. To this day, Brauweiler is the strongest climber of all time. The old masters from Bergisch Gladbach and Duisburg slowly but surely lost ground. Rheine made up two places compared to the previous year, while the previous fourth from Schmalfeld had to relegate. Even Poppenbüttel, who barely saved themselves in the previous year, had to accept the descent. The last GDR champion from Jena had no chance.
In the south, the finish of the previous season was repeated: Frankfurt before Niederkirchen and Saarbrücken. Sindelfingen made up three places compared to the previous year. In contrast, Bayern Munich fell seven places and came last. The descent was decided at the green table. Ulm / Neu-Ulm dissolved its women's football department without replacement. The first successor would have been Aue, who, however, waived for financial reasons. As a result, promoted Ludwigsburg could stay in the Bundesliga for another year.
