The TSV Ludwigsburg is a sports club based in Ludwigsburg . The club, founded in 1907, has eight departments (leisure time, women’s soccer, men’s soccer, hockey, karate, swimming, children / gymnastics) with a total of around 1200 members. The most successful departments of the club are swimming (with a junior European champion), women's football and hockey, both of which have already played in their respective national leagues.
Women's soccer
history
The women's soccer team of TSV Ludwigsburg was founded in 1978. In 1984 the team became champions of the district league, followed in 1985 by the district league championship and promotion to the Württemberg association league, the top division in women's football at the time.
As a Württemberg champion you could qualify in 1991 for the women's soccer league created a year earlier . After relegation from the Bundesliga in 1993, the women of TSV Ludwigsburg played again in the association league. In 1996 the club took part in the promotion round to the women's Bundesliga and qualified for the newly founded Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . From 1996 to 2011 the club competed in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg. At the end of the 2010/11 season, the team was relegated to the Württemberg Association League. After relegation from the association league after the 2012/13 season, he voluntarily withdrew to the district league. In 2013/14 he was promoted to champion in the regional league, which he also belongs to in 2015/16. The regional league is at level 7 below the association and regional league.

history
The hockey department goes back to the hockey community Blau-Gelb Ludwigsburg , founded on October 30, 1953 , which joined TSV Ludwigsburg on January 1, 1954 due to space problems and other adverse circumstances. The women achieved their greatest sporting success in the 1988 field season when they were promoted to the top German league and played hockey in the Bundesliga in 1989.
