The 1993/94 Bundesliga was the fourth season of the women's Bundesliga. Champion was the TSV Siegen after a 1: 0 victory over Green-White Brauweiler . Before the start of the season, the DFB increased the playing time from 80 to 90 minutes.

Season course

Siegen and Brauweiler dominated the northern group even more than in the previous year. The Westphalians were able to secure the relay victory by one point. The direct duels ended in a draw. Nevertheless, dark clouds came over Siegen. Successful coach Neuser left the club. Then Silvia Neid wanted to switch to SG Praunheim . The case went to the labor court and envy had to remain. The big surprise was Tennis Borussia Berlin in third place. Overall, the midfield of the table was very close together. Both climbers were able to keep the class. Instead, the relegation zone was a horror for traditionalists. Rekordmeister SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach also disappeared as the Master of 1985 , the KBC Duisburg , from the upper house. While the Bergisch Gladbach tradition lives on today at Bayer Leverkusen , there has been no women's football at KBC Duisburg for years. For this, FC Rumeln-Kaldenhausen should show off big in the coming years.

The southern group experienced one of the most exciting seasons in history. Both the first three and the last three in the table were only two points apart. The TuS Niederkirchen was able to celebrate the season victory and the FSV Frankfurt keep at a distance. Third place went to SG Praunheim, which was able to sniff the mountain air for the first time. The same clubs cavorted in midfield as in the previous year. Of the newcomers, only TuS Wörrstadt was able to keep the class, while SC 07 Bad Neuenahr lived up to its reputation as an elevator team. Bad Neuenahr was accompanied by TSV Battenberg , whose women's football department became independent as DFC Allendorf / Eder .

In the final round, the two northern clubs prevailed in the semi-finals, with Brauweiler taking the higher victories. In the final, TSV Siegen prevailed.

With the SSV Turbine Potsdam , the SG Wattenscheid 09 and the FSV Schwarzbach , the Bundesliga welcomed three new faces. Wacker Munich, on the other hand, was able to return after a year of abstinence.
