The football Oberliga Nord 1993/94 was the twentieth and final season of the third-class Oberliga Nord run by the North German Football Association . For the following season , the DFB installed the regional league between the 2nd Bundesliga and the major leagues as the third highest division .
Kickers Emden became champions and, like Eintracht Braunschweig, qualified as runner-up for the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga . There they both missed the promotion, in which Emden took fourth place in group 2 and Braunschweig took second place in group 3. For the newly installed Regionalliga Nord , the teams from the Oberliga Nord qualified from first to fourteen.
The third-placed VfL Osnabrück took part in the German amateur championship final, where they were eliminated after finishing third in the northern group.
The 1. SC Norderstedt and Preußen Hameln missed the qualification for the Regionalliga Nord and remained in the fourth-class Oberliga Nord. In return for the following season, the subordinate leagues of the Lüneburger SK , SV Wilhelmshaven , SC Concordia Hamburg and FC Bremerhaven rose to the Regionalliga Nord.
