Hoisdorf ( Low German Hoisdörp ) is a municipality in the district Stormarn in Schleswig-Holstein . It consists of the districts Hoisdorf and Oetjendorf (Low German Mötendbod ).

Hoisdorf is located near Großhansdorf in the catchment area of Hamburg , about 30 km northeast of the center.

history

since 1279

Former Hoisdorf train station

• Hoisdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1279. It was probably created a few decades earlier as a clearing village.
• In 1339 it was sold to the Hamburg cathedral chapter . After the Reformation , the place came into the possession of Duke Adolf von Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf in 1576 , who assigned it to the lordly office of Trittau , where it - like Oetjendorf - was one of the 17 so-called wooden villages .
• The history of the modern Hoisdorf began with the coupling carried out in 1771 .
• In 1857 a school was established.
• With the annexation of Schleswig-Holstein by Prussia , Hoisdorf was incorporated into the new Stormarn district.
• The introduction of the Prussian municipal constitution in 1889 assigned it to the Lütjensee district .
• In 1895 the connection to the telephone network took place and in 1913 the place received electricity.
• In 1907, Hoisdorf received a train station on the Südstormarnschen Kreisbahn (closed in 1952), which, together with the terminus of the Hamburg subway in Großhansdorf, increased the attractiveness of the place and led to an increase in population after the First World War.
• The aftermath of the Second World War brought about a further significant increase: Bombed out Hamburgers and displaced persons from the formerly German eastern regions settled in the village.
• In 1948 Hoisdorf came to Amt Lütjensee , after its dissolution in 1972 to Amt Siek .

Theaters and museums

In Hoisdorf there is the Theater Hoisdorf and the youth department, the Young Theater Hoisdorf. Both are assigned to TuS Hoisdorf as a division . Each year both theaters perform their plays in the Waldreitersaal in the neighboring town of Großhansdorf and other theaters.

The Stormarn Village Museum has been located in Hoisdorf since 1978 . It is set up in the historic farmhouse "Am Thie", which was originally built as a village blacksmith's shop. The objects presented offer an insight into rural culture, the various crafts (shoemaker, weaver, beekeeper, etc.) and institutions (school, fire brigade, etc.) as well as prehistory and early history. The museum is looked after by volunteer citizens from all over Stormarn, who also offer free tours.

Green spaces and recreation

NSG Hoisdorfer Teiche

The nature reserve Hoisdorfer Teiche was placed under protection in 1987. It has around 30 hectares and includes seven stagnant bodies of water. The area is managed by the Jordsand Association.

Sports

In the 1990s, the TuS Hoisdorf played for several years in the football - Regionalliga Nord and in the DFB Cup .

Economy and Infrastructure

Hoisdorf has its own school, the tradition of which goes back to 1857.

The mobile library in the Stormarn district stops at nine stops in Hoisdorf every three weeks.
