Hamfelde ( Hamfellen in Low German ) is a municipality in the southeast of the Stormarn district in Schleswig-Holstein . Apart from the main town Hamfelde, the community has no other districts.

geography

Hamfelde is located on the Bille , across from Hamfelde in Lauenburg .

history

Hamfelde was originally founded as a settlement on both sides of the Bille . By different fiefs on the right and left of the Bille, it was divided into a Stormarn and a Lauenburg community in the early Middle Ages . Hamfelde was first mentioned in a document in 1230.

Since the 16th century Hamfelde belonged to the old lordly office of Trittau , where it was counted among the 17 wooden villages . There was a water mill in the village , which was first used as a saw and later as a copper mill. Albert Ballin has used it as a country house since 1906, later a school camp was housed in the mill .
