Location of the municipality of Grönwohld in the Stormarn district | ||
Grönwohld ( Low German Gröönwoold ) is a municipality in the east of the Stormarn district , south of Bad Oldesloe . Grönwohld has no other districts.
history
Grönwohld was first mentioned in a document in 1248. The town has been shaped by the mill economy since the Middle Ages. The village belonged to the old lordly office of Trittau . Built in the 17th century Hamburg merchant family Amsinck a large wire mill in the village, which served as a manufacturer of fine wire. In 1817 the Lübeck merchant Hasse bought the mill and converted it into a paper mill. Grönwohld was one of the 17 wooden villages .
After the annexation of Schleswig-Holstein by Prussia , Grönwohld came to the newly established Stormarn district and, after the introduction of the Prussian municipal constitution in 1889, to the newly established Lütjensee district, which became the Lütjensee district in 1948 . When the Amt Lütjensee was dissolved in 1972, Grönwohld was added to today's Amt Trittau.
religion
In 1248 Grönwohld was parish into the newly founded parish Trittau . When this was again divided in 1330, the place came to the new parish Lütjensee . During the Reformation , Grönwohld, like all of Stormarn, became Lutheran . The church in Trittau was again responsible for the spiritual care. In 1953 , Grönwohld was separated from the Trittau parish together with Großensee and Lütjensee and has been part of the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Lütjensee ever since.
