history

War memorial in Grande

Grande was first mentioned in a document in 1248. It should be older, however, as the document speaks of the change from the Steinbek parish to the Trittau parish. At the end of the 13th century, the Reinbek monastery acquired the ownership of Grande. After the dissolution of the monastery as part of the Reformation in 1529, the place came under the rulership of Reinbek. In 1609, Grande moved to the lordly office of Trittau as part of territorial adjustments. Grande was one of the 17 so-called wooden villages .

Since the introduction of the Prussian municipal constitution in 1889, Grande has belonged to the Trittau district in the Stormarn district, which became the current Trittau district in 1948 .

Grande originally belonged to the Steinbek parish. When the parish of Trittau was founded in 1248, it was responsible for the spiritual care of Grande.
