About this picture

Klein Wesenberg ( Low German Lütt Wasenbarg ) is a municipality in the far east of the Stormarn district in Schleswig-Holstein . Klein Schenkenberg and Heidberg are in the municipality.

history

Klein Wesenberg was first mentioned in 1251 in a purchase contract from the Reinfeld monastery . However, the village is likely to be considerably older. The monastery had ruled the place since 1358. With the introduction of the Reformation and the associated abolition of the secular rights of the monastery, the place came under the old rulership of Reinfeld .

With the resignation of the Vorwerk Klein Wesenberg in 1743, serfdom was also lifted. After the annexation of Schleswig-Holstein by Prussia in 1867, the place was incorporated into the newly founded Stormarn district. The church, which has been documented since the 12th century, was destroyed by a thunderstorm and rebuilt in the same place in 1882.

The introduction of the Prussian municipal constitution in 1889 made Klein Wesenberg the seat of the administrative district of the same name , which also included Ahrensfelde , Klein and Groß Barnitz , Klein Schenkenberg, Westerau and the estate districts of Trenthorst and Wulmenau . In 1948 the district was dissolved and Klein Wesenberg came to Reinfeld-Land. With the official reform in 1972, the place came to the Office Nordstormarn .

Klein Schenkenberg was founded by the Reinfeld monastery at the end of the 12th century . It was first mentioned in a document in 1428. With the Reformation , the place came under the rule of Reinfeld. In 1671 it was assigned to the ruling office of Rethwisch. Serfdom was lifted in 1743. With the annexation of Schleswig-Holstein by Prussia , Klein Schenkenberg was assigned to the new Stormarn district in 1867 . The introduction of the Prussian municipal constitution in 1889 brought the company to the Klein Wesenberg district . After the village came to the Reinfeld-Land Office in 1948, it moved to the North Stormarn Office in 1972 .
