Geography and traffic

Witzhave is about 20 km east of Hamburg . The federal highway 24 runs through the municipality. The Corbek , the Witzhaver Au, the Hahnenbek and the Bille flow through the area of ​​the municipality.

The VHH bus route 333 in the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund runs through Witzhave. This provides a direct connection to neighboring Trittau, Hamburg and the underground line U2 (U Steinfurther Allee) of the Hamburger Hochbahn in the HVV .

history

Witzhave was first mentioned in 1248. The place was sold to the Reinbek monastery by the Holstein counts around 1300 . As a result of the Reformation , it came under the rule of the Dukes of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorp as part of the Trittau office .
