The Oberliga Südwest 1993/94 was the 15th and final season of the third-class league.
As part of the introduction of a third-rate regional league for the 1994/95 football season, the 93/94 league season also represented the qualifying round for the future West / Southwest regional league. This consisted of six qualifiers from the Oberligen Westfalen and Südwest as well as four qualifiers from the Oberliga Nordrhein. There were also two relegated second division. As in the previous year, Eintracht Trier was the champion , who qualified for the new division with the teams of SV Edenkoben , VfB Wissen , Borussia Neunkirchen , SC Hauenstein and FSV Salmrohr . Because the league had to be replenished for the next season, there was only one relegation place, which the amateurs of FC Homburg occupied after a narrow outcome. While the regional league qualification of VfB Wissen, which was promptly relegated, came as a surprise, the qualification of the newcomer SC Hauenstein was a little sensation. The ambitious Südpfälzer had only been promoted from the association league to the upper league in the previous season and now they managed to march straight through to the regional league, where they stayed for several seasons. However, in addition to the Hauensteiners, the teams from Salmrohr and Neunkirchen had to tremble until the last match day, as TSG Pfeddersheim was also in the promotion race and ultimately only failed due to the poorer goal difference.
