The SV 1920 Mettlach is a football club from the Saarland community Mettlach .
history
The club was founded in 1920 as a football department within the 1885 Mettlach gymnastics club and was run independently from 1923. He played five seasons in the Saarland amateur league in the 1960s. By winning the Saarland Cup in 1984, 1993 and 1995 , the club qualified for the first main round of the DFB Cup .
In 1993, 2000 and 2008 he was promoted to the Oberliga Südwest and spent a total of nine seasons there. Since 2009 the club has played continuously in the sixth class Saarland League .

- 1995/96 : 1st round; SV Mettlach - Hertha BSC ( 2nd Bundesliga ) 0: 4; 2,500 spectators
Stadion
The Villeroy & Boch Stadium, which holds around 4,500 spectators , was built in 1990 and was called the Stadion am swimming pool until 2018 . It has a small clubhouse, an ash track, floodlights and has an extension in the form of standing steps on both sides. Until 1990, the club played its games on the sports field at Wingertshaus .
