↑ 2nd Bundesliga North 1980/81 |
The football Oberliga Nord 1980/81 was the seventh season of the third-class Oberliga Nord run by the North German Football Association .
The champions were FC St. Pauli with two points ahead of the amateurs from Werder Bremen . Since the 2nd Bundesliga was converted from a double-track to a single-track league for the 1981/82 season , there were no promoters. Accordingly, the champions only took part in the amateur championship finals, in which the team lost to the amateurs of 1. FC Köln in the final .
After the second division clubs 1. SC Göttingen 05 , Holstein Kiel , OSV Hannover and VfB Oldenburg missed the qualification for the single-track 2. Bundesliga, in addition to Prussia Hameln and HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst , last year's climbers Hummelsbütteler SV , Bremer SV , Itzehoer SV and Eintracht Nordhorn had to relegate to the respective subordinate leagues. In return, SV Lurup and TSV Havelse rose to the Oberliga Nord in the following season .
