Career

At Concordia Hamburg , goalkeeper Reinhard Rietzke completed his first four appearances in the then second -rate regional soccer league in the 1969/70 season . Under coach Reinhold Ertel , he represented goalkeeper Gerhard Teupel in four games. At the end of the round, "Cordi" was relegated to the amateur camp. In the last year of the old regional league, 1973/74 , Rietzke TuS Bremerhaven 93 , who worked as a clerk at the Harburg employment office, was a member. For the team from the Zollinlandstadion , he played in 13 league games; The regular goalkeeper was Dieter Rost and the "Zolli-Elf" took 14th place. On the eighth game day, September 23, 1973, FC St. Pauli won with 9-1 goals in Bremerhaven; Rietzke stood in the Bremerhaven gate. Nevertheless, Rietzke moved to the 1974/75 season in the professional squad of FC St. Pauli , which belonged to the 2nd Bundesliga North in the debut season .

He made his professional debut on August 3, 1974 in a 3-1 home defeat against SG Wattenscheid 09 . In the first two rounds he was the goalkeeper of St. Pauli in the 2nd Bundesliga with 70 appearances. In the 1976/77 season he rose to the first place with the Hamburg team in the Bundesliga , but he was only used in two games as a replacement for Jürgen Rynio . In the following season he was used a total of four times in the Bundesliga. He made his Bundesliga debut on December 12, 1977 in a 1-1 draw against VfL Bochum . After only six wins and 22 defeats, St. Pauli rose from bottom of the table again. After the subsequent second division season , which ended in sixth place, Rietzke, who did not play a league game this season, remained as one of the few players at the club after they had to be relegated to the third division Oberliga Nord due to excessive debts .

Three rounds, 1979/80 to 1981/82, he was again number one in the gate of St. Pauli. In 1981 he celebrated the championship under coach Kuno Böge with players like Jens-Peter Box , Walter Frosch , Uwe Mackensen and Joachim Philipkowski and the entry into the final of the German amateur championship . Under the new coach Michael Lorkowski , he lost his regular place in goal to competitor Volker Ippig in 1982/83 , but was able to celebrate another championship with St. Pauli. In total, he played 103 games in the amateur league.

He played five games in the DFB Cup .

At the end of October 1995 Rietzke trained as an interim trainer for SV Lurup .
