Uwe Mackensen (born August 12, 1955 in Osterode am Harz ; † August 23, 2019 ) was a German football player and sports journalist .

Career

Mackensen began his professional career at Hamburger SV . From 1974 to 1977 he played a Bundesliga assignment in all three seasons. He also played a DFB Cup game for HSV. For the 1977/78 season he then moved to the Pfalz for 1. FC Kaiserslautern . Here, too, he was unable to assert himself and came up with three assignments in two years. So he moved back to Hamburg in 1979, to FC St. Pauli . He became a regular player at the top division of the time and rose to the 2nd Bundesliga with the Kiezclub in 1984 . After the direct relegation, he left the club. Then he let his career end at TuRa Harksheide .

After football

Mackensen was a sports editor at Bild-Zeitung until 2015 , after which he was golf marshal at the Gut Wulfsmühle facility in Schleswig-Holstein.
