Jens-Peter Box

Jens-Peter Box (born March 11, 1956 ) is a former German soccer player . Between 1975 and 1984 he played a total of 77 games in the 2nd Bundesliga and 6 games in the Bundesliga for FC St. Pauli . He scored one goal in both leagues.

career

On the 37th matchday of the 1974/75 season, the young player Jens-Peter Box, who had come from Jahn Wilhelmsburg, made his first appearance in the 2nd Bundesliga at FC St. Pauli on June 8, 1975 in the away game against VfL Wolfsburg . When coach Diethelm Ferner won the title in the 1976/77 season and thus made it to the first division, Boxing played thirteen games alongside Jürgen Rynio , Walter Frosch , Dietmar Demuth and Franz Gerber . In the Bundesliga round 1977/78 it was enough for the defensive player to six appointments. Under coach Sepp Piontek he belonged in the 1978/79 season with 32 appointments to the starting eleven of the Millerntor team which was able to occupy sixth place. After the round, St. Pauli was withdrawn due to a lack of financial conditions and transferred to the Amateur Oberliga Nord.

The business administration student stayed in the amateur league at St. Pauli for the next five rounds and belonged to the teams that won the championship in 1981 and 1983, but only made it to the promotion round successfully in 1984 with Blau-Weiß 90 Berlin was able to prevail and was able to return to the 2nd Bundesliga. After winning the first championship in the north in 1981, Box and his teammates reached the final of the German amateur championship against the amateurs of 1. FC Cologne. On June 14, 1981, the final in Cologne was lost with 0-2 goals. In the 2nd league round 1984/85 Box came again to six missions. He played his last game for St. Pauli in the 4-5 defeat on matchday eight at KSV Hessen Kassel .

From the 1985/86 season, Box's career ended in the amateur camp at the Altona 93 and TSV DuWo 08 clubs.
