Ralf Brunnecker (born February 17, 1963 in Hamburg ) is a former German professional footballer .

Career

The trained striker Brunnecker started his career at the Hamburg suburban club Grün-Weiss Harburg and moved to FC St. Pauli in the B-Jugend . During this time he made the leap into the Hamburg youth team. In 1981 Brunnecker went to Hamburger SV and was part of the team that went down as the most successful in the club's history. He was part of the squad until 1983, but could not prevail against the strong competition. In these two years he also completed an apprenticeship as a businessman in the property and housing industry . Like many other young talented players who were under contract with professional clubs and only sat on the bench there, Brunnecker was only used in the DFB youth round.

Brunnecker played in the amateur team of Hamburger SV from the 1983/84 season. He has been working as an entrepreneur in the textile industry since October 1983 and runs several clothing stores in Hamburg.
