history

The Liebknechthof in 1930

The Liebknechthof is named after the two German labor leaders Wilhelm Liebknecht and his son Karl Liebknecht . A plaque in the community building indicates this. During the civil war , the residential complex was occupied by members of the Schutzbund on February 12, 1934 and held against the overwhelming force of government troops until the morning of February 14.
