Michael Böhnke (born December 13, 1959 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The striker joined the professional squad from his own amateurs in 1979 and made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga for Werder Bremen in the game against SC Fortuna Köln on the last match day of the 1980/81 season and celebrated the championship and promotion with the Bremen team. From 1981 to 1984 he played a total of 25 games in the Bundesliga for SV Werder and scored one goal. Böhnke recorded his first of three appearances in the DFB Cup in 1981/82 in the quarter-finals against FC Bayern Munich (1: 2 afterwards); Böhnke also took part in the 1982/83 UEFA Cup with Werder Bremen , where he played four games.

For the 1984/85 season, Böhnke moved to the reigning league champions 1. FC Bocholt in the Oberliga Nordrhein. A year later he moved to BTSV Eintracht from Braunschweig, who had been relegated from the Bundesliga, but did not play in the second division there. From 1987 to 1990 he played for the Bremen district club FC Mahndorf, which had been promoted to the Oberliga Nord .
