The 1994/95 Bundesliga was the fifth season of the women's Bundesliga. Nine years after their first title win, FSV Frankfurt celebrated their second championship with a 2-0 win over Grün-Weiß Brauweiler .

Season course

After four consecutive season victories, TSV Siegen missed the finals for the first time. In return, Grün-Weiß Brauweiler was the first to finish the regular season for the first time. FC Rumeln-Kaldenhausen came in surprisingly second, with Maren Meinert, the most successful goalscorer in the northern group. Only the ungrateful third place remained to win. Some distance behind were Rheine, who after the merger with SG Eintracht Rheine competed for the first time under the name FC Eintracht Rheine , Hannover, promoted Potsdam and Wolfsburg. Tennis Borussia Berlin had to fight for relegation for a long time. Wattenscheid and Schmalfeld had to relegate.

In the south, FSV Frankfurt kept a clean slate and won all 18 games. With 92 goals scored and only four conceded goals, new records were set. Birgit Prinz and Sandra Smisek were instrumental in the success with a total of 35 goals. Second was TuS Ahrbach for the first time , which made headlines with the spectacular transfer of Heidi Mohr . The first German champion, TuS Wörrstadt , also set a record, having managed to stay in the league with just ten goals. The newly promoted Wacker Munich and FSV Schwarzbach had to relegate immediately.

In the semifinals, Brauweiler and FSV Frankfurt prevailed relatively clearly. The 2-2 in the first leg in Duisburg was the only game that the FSV did not win. In the final, Katja Bornschein and Birgit Prinz scored the decisive goals after just 16 minutes.

With the police SV Rostock and Rot-Weiß Hillen , the northern group welcomed two new clubs. In the south, SC 07 Bad Neuenahr was the first club to gain promotion for the second time. The TSV Crailsheim was finally able to realize the leap into the Bundesliga after three failed attempts.
