history
The soccer players recorded their first major success with their first Lower Saxony championship in 1977. Five more championships followed by 1986. In 1980 and 1986 the team reached the quarter-finals of the German championship , while in the other years it was the last sixteen. The Lower Saxony Cup has also been won six times. When they first took part in the DFB Cup , the team reached the final straight away. In Frankfurt / Main the team lost against SSG 09 Bergisch Gladbach with 0: 3. It was not until 1994 that the next success followed with winning the Oberliga Nord . In the promotion round, however, there was no chance. Two years later, the team was again the league champion and made it to the Bundesliga unbeaten in the promotion round. As the penultimate in the Bundesliga North, the team only narrowly missed participation in the relegation to the single-track Bundesliga introduced the following year. At the end of the season, however, the department was dissolved.
After a long break, women's football celebrated a comeback in Wildeshausen in 2006. The team started in the district league and celebrated the district cup victory on May 23, 2012. As runner-up in the district league, the team was promoted to the Weser-Ems Mitte district league in the 2013/14 season. After only one year, he was relegated to the Oldenburg-Land / Delmenhorst district league. There the team became champions in 2016 and returned to the district league.
