Christine Veth (born September 26, 1986 ) is a German soccer player who has been playing for SC Sand since 2008 .
Career
Veth started playing soccer at TV Ruppertsberg and later moved to the youth department of TuS Niederkirchen . For Niederkirchen she played her first Bundesliga game on May 4, 2003 (18th matchday) : in the 3-0 home defeat against FC Bayern Munich , she played for Romy Fosselmann in the 75th minute . After relegation to the Bundesliga in the summer of 2003, she played two seasons with Niederkirchen in the then second-rate Regionalliga Südwest and rose in the summer of 2005 to the newly founded 2nd Bundesliga South .
Since Niederkirchen had not applied for a license for the 2nd Bundesliga after the 2007/08 season, he switched to league rivals SC Sand in summer 2008. In 2011, she rose with the team as penultimate table in the Regionalliga Süd , but managed to get promoted again only one year later. With 14 goals in 17 games, Veth played a key role in this success as the top scorer. In 2014, she and her team reached the semi-finals of the DFB Cup , where they had to admit defeat to 1. FFC Frankfurt 2-0. As champion of the 2nd Bundesliga South , she and the team were promoted to the Bundesliga a little later.
