The TSC Euskirchen (also called Euskirchener TSC or ETSC) is a German football club from Euskirchen . The club colors are red-yellow-white. The venue of the first men's team of the ETSC is the Erftstadion, which has a capacity of 7,500 spectators. The most famous former player is Heinz Flohe , who also coached the club in the 1980s.

history

In 1967 the Euskirchen associations ESC and ETSV merged to form the major association ETSC. At the beginning of the 1967/68 season, six teams were placed in the senior football division, from the regional league to the 3rd district class. The hope associated with the merger of soon moving into higher-class regions was initially not fulfilled. In the meantime, they even had to join the district league. Under coach Heinz Flohe, however, they were promoted to the regional league (1982) and the association league (1983) for two consecutive years. Here the club established itself, but narrowly missed promotion to the league in 1989. This succeeded ten years later under coach Hermann-Josef Werres (1999). However, you could only hold two seasons in the Oberliga Nordrhein . In the 1999/2000 season they finished 14th, at the end of the 2000/01 season they had to start the way back to the association league as bottom of the table. After a few years in the Mittelrhein Association League, the first men's team withdrew for financial reasons in the 2004/05 season. The football department of the ETSC had accumulated tax debts of € 47,000 in previous years. In the following season, the rebuilding in the national league was dared. In terms of sport, a decent 5th place in the table achieved in the 2005/06 season. A few weeks later, however, it became known that the game operation for the new season was not secured, so that no team could be reported in the regional league for the 2006/07 season, which meant relegation to the district league. After the renewed rebuilding, this time in the district league, succeeded at the end of the 2007/08 season under coach Nino Flohe as champion of the district league season 3, the immediate promotion to the national league. There the relegation succeeded first, before one rose in the 2009/10 season as second in the table in the national league in the association league. In the following season, after a big comeback in the second half of the season, the Middle Rhine League managed to stay in fourth place. After a weak start to the 2011/12 season, Nino Flea resigned as coach in November 2011 and was replaced by Kurt Maus.

Shortly before the start of the 2018/19 season, the club withdrew the team from the Middle Rhine League.
