The Euskirchener SC (officially: Euskirchener Sportclub 13 eV ) was a sports club from Euskirchen . The first soccer team played for five years in the highest amateur league in the Middle Rhine region.

history

The club was founded in 1913 and in 1946 was one of the founding members of the then first-class Rheinbezirksliga . From this, the team rose again as the knocked-down bottom of the table. After a district league runner-up behind Jugend 07 Bergheim in 1949, the Euskircheners succeeded two years later in advancing to the state league , the highest amateur league on the Middle Rhine at the time. There the team first reached ninth place twice in a row. In 1954, the Euskirchen team reached eighth place despite a 2-13 defeat at VfB 08 Aachen .

In the following season, the team was relegated to the district class. Back in the district class, the Euskirchener were runner-up behind SV Gleuel in 1957 , before being promoted to the regional league two years later. Before that, the ESC defeated the teams SSV Lommersum with 2: 0 and Alemannia Lendersdorf with 3: 1 in a playoff round . In 1967 the Euskirchener SC merged with the Euskirchener TSV to form TSC Euskirchen .
