Alemannia Lendersdorf (officially: Sportclub Alemannia 04 Lendersdorf eV ) is a sports club from the Düren district of Lendersdorf . The first soccer team played for three years in the highest amateur league in the Middle Rhine region.

history

The club was founded in 1904 as FC Alemannia Lendersdorf . When the club took its current name is unknown. In 1920, the team rose to the then first-class Rheingauliga Süd , but missed the qualification for the newly created single-track Rheingauliga as the penultimate one . From 1930 to 1933 the Alemannia played again in the second highest division.

In 1947 Alemannia was one of the founding members of the Landesliga , the highest amateur league at the time on the Middle Rhine. At the end of the season, the team was relegated from the bottom of the table. Two years later, the promotion succeeded before the Lendersdorfer in 1952 had to relegate to the district class again. This was followed by direct promotion and the runner-up in the promotion season 1953/54 behind SV Baesweiler 09 . The Alemania could not build on this success and in 1956 missed the qualification for the newly created Association League Middle Rhine .

Instead, the Lendersdorfer went back down to the district class in 1958. The direct resurgence was missed in playoffs against the Euskirchener SC . Only in 1961 succeeded in returning to the national league, which could only be held for two years. Subsequently, the Alemannia no longer got beyond the local league and slipped down to the district B league. Since the promotion in 2017, the Lendersdorfer play again in the district league A.
