Alexander Monath (born August 30, 1993 ) is a German soccer goalkeeper .
Career
Monath played in his youth for Alemannia Lendersdorf , FC Schalke 04 and Bonner SC .
For the 2012/13 season he moved to SC Fortuna Köln , with whom he won the Middle Rhine Cup and rose to the third division the following season . He made his debut game in the 3rd division on matchday 37 on May 16, 2015 in a 2-1 home win against SV Wehen Wiesbaden . In the summer of 2015 he moved to the Regionalliga West for FC Viktoria Köln . There he was used in five league games. In his second season in 2016/17 , Monath did not appear in the league behind regular goalkeeper Philipp Kühn , but he still celebrated the regional league championship with Viktoria Köln. In the promotion games to the 3rd division, he ultimately completed a game against FC Carl Zeiss Jena .
In the summer of 2017, Monath returned to Bonner SC. In September 2017 he began training as a trainee city inspector at the city administration in Düren. After two years, he left the Bonner SC in the summer of 2019 with an unknown destination.
