The 2014/15 season of the Oberliga was the seventh season of the Oberliga as the fifth-highest division in football in Germany .

Regionalliga North

In the Regionalliga Nord , two places in the promotion round were awarded for the 2015/16 season . The champions of the Schleswig-Holstein-Liga , Bremen-Liga and Oberliga Hamburg as well as the runner-up of the Oberliga Niedersachsen or, in the event of a waiver, the best-placed license candidates for the Regionalliga Nord of the respective leagues should take part. After admission, however, the only Hamburg representative, SC Victoria Hamburg, decided not to participate in the promotion games for economic reasons.

After each game there was a penalty shoot-out, which should decide on the placement in the event of a tie between two teams in points and goals. A possible play-off game if all three teams were equal on points and goals would have been scheduled for June 9, 2015.

    The Regionalliga Nordost was increased to 18 participants for the 2015/16 season . With the promotion of 1. FC Magdeburg to the 3rd division , the withdrawal of the second team from 1. FC Union Berlin and the forced relegation of VFC Plauen , five teams from the Oberliga Nordost 2014/15 rose to the Regionalliga Nordost. In addition to the champions and runners-up of both seasons, the fifth climber was determined in two promotion games between the third-placed finishers of the two seasons.

    On July 1, 2015, the judgment of the NOFV sports court was made: The game in question was scored 2-0 goals for FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt II and 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig had to play a home game in camera in the coming season ( so-called ghost game ); Furthermore, very high fines were imposed on both clubs.

    Regionalliga southwest

    In the Regionalliga Südwest a place in the promotion round was awarded for the 2015/16 season . The runners-up of the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg , Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar and the Hessenliga took part.
