The 2015/16 season of Regionalliga Nord was the eighth season of the regional football league as the fourth-highest division in Germany. It was opened on July 24, 2015 with the game between promoted TSV Schilksee and Eintracht Norderstedt and ended on May 21, 2016 with the 34th matchday.

Promotion and relegation regulation
Promotion to the 3rd division
For promotion to the 3rd division, the master was athletically qualified to participate in the promotion games. In this, VfL Wolfsburg II failed against the champions of the Regionalliga Bayern, SSV Jahn Regensburg, after a 1-0 home win in the first leg and a 0-2 defeat in the second leg in Regensburg.
Relegation from the Regionalliga Nord
The three teams in places 16, 17 and 18 of the Regionalliga Nord were relegated at the end of the season.
