Football Association Cup 2014/15

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The participants of the 21 national associations of the DFB in the DFB-Pokal 2015/16 were determined via the football association cup 2014/15 . The winners of the association cups were entitled to participate in the first round of the DFB Cup. The three associations with the largest number of members, Bavaria, Lower Saxony and Westphalia, also sent a second participant. Thus 24 amateur clubs qualified for the national cup competition, 22 of them via the association cups. The second teams of the professional clubs (1st and 2nd Bundesliga) are not allowed to participate in the DFB-Pokal.

In Lower Saxony, in addition to the cup winners, the defeated cup finalist qualified for the DFB Cup, in Bavaria the best team of the 2014/15 regional league season qualified for the first in addition to the winner of the association cup, provided it was not the second team from a professional club Main round of the DFB-Pokal, in Westphalia this was, with the same restriction as in Bavaria, the best team of the Oberliga season 2014/15 .
