The FC Pipinsried 1967 is a German sports club from the Upper Bavarian parish village Pipinsried in the district of Dachau , which belongs to the Altomünster market . In addition to the successful football department , the club also offers the sports of curling , tennis and women's gymnastics .

history

FC Pipinsried was founded in 1967. After years in the lower leagues of the Aichach football district , the steady rise began in the late 1970s under President Konrad Höß. In 1989 the club rose to the national league for the first time .

After the first relegation in 1993, he returned to the then fifth class, from 2012 only sixth class national league. The small club then belonged to this league for 14 years without interruption. In the years in the national league, Pipinsried played against the later second division club SV Wacker Burghausen , but also against former nationally successful clubs such as FC Wacker Munich , MTV Ingolstadt or TSV Schwaben Augsburg . In 2013, the club secured the championship and promotion to the Bayern League for the first time under player-coach Tobias Strobl (formerly active at FC Ingolstadt 04 ), and after the league reform in 2012 it was only the fifth-highest German division.

In the Bayernliga Süd, the club immediately established itself in the top third of the table as a climber and even got the chance to move up to the Regional League Bayern as third in the 2013/14 season . In the promotion games to the Regionalliga, however, the FC Pipinsried lost to TSV 1860 Rosenheim after a 2-2 in the first leg away in the second leg with 0-1. In the 2014/15 season , Pipinsried again took part in the relegation to Regionalliga Bayern after SV Pullach waived , and failed in the first round at the Regionalliga-16., VfR Garching .

In the 2016/17 season, they rose to the regional league for the first time. The FC Pipinsried defeated the second team of SpVgg Greuther Fürth in the relegation after a 1-1 home game away with a 3-2 after extra time.

Stadion

FC Pipinsried plays its home games in the NAT arena , which is located on the north-western outskirts and offers space for around 2500 spectators. There is a roofed grandstand on the south side of the field, the rest is at ground level.

The then second division TSV 1860 Munich played a friendly match against FC Pipinsried in front of 1,500 spectators in the stadium in August 2010 (final score 6-0 for the Munich Lions ). In addition, the former Bundesliga club SpVgg Unterhaching has been a guest three times . While the third-class Unterhachinger won a friendly 7-0 in July 2007, the hosts from Pipinsried only just lost the competitive game in the Bavarian Toto Cup in October 2012 with 1: 2. In April 2014 FCP played again against Unterhaching in the round of 16 of the Toto Cup and lost 4-0.

Trivia

Although the village of Pipinsried has fewer than 600 inhabitants - that's only a little more than one percent of the population of the large district town of Dachau - FCP has been the district's most successful football club for decades. In addition, the FCP has been a member of the football association of the administrative district of Swabia since it was founded , although the former municipality of Pipinsried was part of Upper Bavaria even before the regional reform in the 1970s .
