The Bayern Regional Football League is a league in German football. It is one of five regional leagues , which currently form the fourth highest division in the league system in Germany . It is organized by the Bavarian Football Association (BFV). Depending on the season, the master takes part in a promotion round to the 3rd division or rises directly. The official title of the Bavarian amateur champion is awarded to the best-placed club that is not a second team from a professional club. The Bavarian amateur champions qualify for the first main round of the DFB-Pokal , the relegated teams contest the following season in the Bavarian League .
Founding members
With the regional league reform in 2012, the regional league was increased to five leagues, since then there are the regional leagues North , Northeast , West , Southwest and Bavaria.
