The FC Ismaning is a football club from the north of Munich lying Ismaning . The first team of the club, which has almost 700 members, plays in the fifth-class Bayernliga Süd .
history
The club was founded in 1921 and began regular gaming operations in 1924. Until the mid-1990s, the club played in lower-class leagues in the Munich soccer district. In 1996, the FC Ismaning rose for the first time in the fifth-class Landesliga Süd.
The year 2000 was the club's most successful year to date: it was possible to celebrate promotion to the then fourth-class Bayernliga as well as winning the Bavarian Cup. Through the latter, the club qualified for the first DFB-Pokal main round and met the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund there . The game in the home stadium on Lindenstrasse ended 4-0 in front of around 7500 spectators.
In the following years, FC Ismaning was able to establish itself in the Bayern League, which from 2008 was only the fifth highest division due to the introduction of the 3rd division . After the runner-up championship in 2010, Ismaning was champion of the Bavarian League in the 2010/11 season , but waived the possible promotion to the fourth-class Regionalliga Süd due to high license requirements.
A year later , the FCI qualified for the new fourth-rate regional league Bayern , from which he was relegated at the end of the 2012/13 season to the now double-track Bayern league, despite good starts. In the following year, the FCI slipped straight through as bottom of the table in the sixth class Landesliga Südost. In the spring of 2016 she returned to the Bayern League.
In March 2007, after 25 years in office, the club's chairman Helmut Horst resigned and was replaced by Andres Hobmeier. In 2010 Hans Blößl and in March 2014 Christian Ludwig took over as chairman of the association. Roland Boenke has been President of FC Ismaning since April 2015.
youth
Since the 2013/14 season, the youth of FC Ismaning have played with their large-field teams at least in the regional league. This was the decisive incentive to continue running the youth department of the FCI as a youth development center. The goal of FC Ismaning is to become a recognized youth performance center of the Bavarian Football Association. In the 2015/2016 season, FC Ismaning will play in the national league for the first time with its U19s and U17s.
In 2015, the U11 of FC Ismaning won the Merkur Cup , which with around 450 participating teams from Upper Bavaria is considered to be the largest e-youth tournament in the world. In the history of the tournament, only the youth teams of the major Munich clubs FC Bayern , TSV 1860 and SpVgg Unterhaching had succeeded in this.
