The 1. FC Sand is a football club from the Lower Franconian town of Sand am Main . It was founded in 1920 and has about 500 members.
history
The first soccer team of FC Sand rose in 1981 for the first time in the Landesliga Nord . The greatest sporting success was the championship in 2000 and promotion to the Bayern League , in which he stayed for two seasons. Then the club played again in the Landesliga Nord. In 2009 the club failed as runner-up in the regional league in the relegation games to the Bayernliga at SpVgg Landshut . In the 2012/13 season , the club finally rose as the table penultimate from the Bayern League in the sixth class state league. In 2015 they managed to return to the Bayern League.
