The Mecklenburg state soccer class in 1950/51 was the fifth edition of the Mecklenburg state soccer class . With the GDR league newly introduced this season , the national classes were now only third-rate. The Mecklenburg regional class was reduced to twelve teams this season and for the first time was held with only one relay in a round-robin tournament. The SG Volkspolizei Schwerin was clearly 14 points ahead of the BSG Lederwerke Neustadt-Glewe and thus rose to the GDR soccer league in 1951/52 .
Since the national class was increased to 14 teams for the coming season, there were no relegated teams this season. The BSG Motor Warnemünde and the BSG Stahl Ueckermünde rose from the district classes.
