The Mecklenburg regional soccer class 1946/47 was the first to host the Mecklenburg regional soccer class . As early as 1945 there were individual championships at the municipal level, but the staging of a zone championship was prohibited. From 1946 football championships were held at the state level. This year's state championship was first played in the regions of Mecklenburg and Western Pomerania with two relays each in a round- robin tournament . The two relay winners from Western Pomerania determined the participant in the Mecklenburg finals in two play-offs. The two season winners from Mecklenburg were also qualified for this final round. The squadrons were staffed differently, several teams only played part of the games. The SG Rostock-Süd prevailed as the first post-war champion .
Since the occupying power had banned the previous football clubs, newly formed sports communities and sports groups (SG) played for the state championship. According to the DSFS , the sports communities had the following predecessor clubs before 1945:
The final round was held from June 8, 1947 to July 20, 1947, the season winners from Mecklenburg and the winner of the finals from Western Pomerania were qualified.
