The ASG Vorwärts Löcknitz was a German army sports association from Löcknitz in what is now the Vorpommern-Greifswald district , whose football department existed until 1990. Vorwärts Löcknitz was financially supported by the army sports association Vorwärts , the ASG was subordinate to the border troops of the GDR on the German-Polish border . Vorwärts Löcknitz played mostly fourth class in the 1960s, promotion to the 2nd GDR league was missed several times.

Dynamo / Forward Löcknitz

The SG Dynamo Löcknitz rose for the first time in 1956 in the fourth-class district league Neubrandenburg , in which the police sports community took over the team from Aufbau Löcknitz . After the league was not held in the opening season, Dynamo returned in 1958 to the district league now consisting of two seasons. 1959 succeeded before Empor Anklam the relay victory , the final of the district championship lost the team from Pomerania against unit Teterow with 0: 2.

In 1961, the army sports association Vorwärts took over the sports community, which was then renamed ASG Vorwärts Löcknitz . Vorwärts Löcknitz won the season again in 1962, losing 4-0 in the final against the second representation from Vorwärts Neubrandenburg . In the same year Vorwärts Löcknitz reached the qualifying round for the FDGB Cup , in which the team prevailed against Motor Rostock . In the first main round Löcknitz failed to unit Greifswald with 2: 4.

The most successful sporting season for ASG was the 1962/63 season. The third final of the Neubrandenburg district championship was also lost 5-0 against TSG Neustrelitz . However, Neustrelitz was subsequently disqualified for the use of a player who was not eligible to play and the championship of the ASG was awarded. In the round of promotion to the GDR league , which Neustrelitz had already won, the ASG intervened belatedly. Construction Boizenburg withdrew his team due to the chaotic circumstances, against the later promoted Motor Wolgast and MWW Warnemünde , the ASG had no chance in the promotion round. The ASG held the district league until 1966.

In 1978 the ASG briefly returned to the third-rate GDR football. The drastic austerity measures introduced for army teams in the 1980s also quickly made itself felt in Löcknitz. In 1981 the team was relegated to the district class. A return to higher realms was no longer successful. Vorwärts Löcknitz was withdrawn from gaming operations in 1990 and dissolved. Large parts went up in VfB Pommern Löcknitz .
