The regional soccer class of Saxony in 1950/51 was the second edition of the regional soccer class of Saxony . Due to the introduction of the GDR league , the national class was only third class from this season. The national class was reduced to a squadron with 14 participants, who played the Saxon soccer champions and promoted players in the GDR soccer league in 1951/52 in a round-robin tournament with a return game . The BSG Rotation Plauen secured first place and promotion with one point ahead of BSG Chemie Glauchau . With the exception of the SG Markkleeberg, only company sports clubs competed for the first time. As a result, there were again several name changes.
