The division Südwürttemberg 1949/50 was the fourth and final season of highest amateur class in Südwürttemberg in football before the formation of a common amateur league for all of Württemberg in 1950. She was one level below the Oberliga Southwest settled and covered the then Country Württemberg-Hohenzollern from . After the end of the season, the league was dissolved. Olympia Laupheim, SV Tailfingen and SV Weingarten were transferred to the 1st Amateur League Württemberg, while all other clubs were relegated to the 2nd Amateur League.

Until 1950, separate gaming operations were carried out in North and South Württemberg due to their affiliation to different occupation zones . While North Württemberg was in the American zone of occupation and belonged to the South German Football Association , South Württemberg was in the French zone of occupation and until 1950 belonged to the South West German Football Association .
