The SG Baienfurt is established in 1927 German football club from Baienfurt in the district of Ravensburg in Baden-Württemberg .
history
Start time
The club was founded at the beginning of the 1926/1927 season and quickly became a fixture in the Gauliga Oberschwaben . In 1933, the association was dissolved in the course of the conformity of the NSDAP . After the Second World War, the club was re-established relatively quickly under the name Sportgemeinde Baienfurt (SGB) through an application to the French military government in Ravensburg . Due to the arrangement that there should only be one club per community, the club combined with the wrestlers and gymnasts to form an overall club under the name Sportgemeinde Baienfurt .
Promotion to the regional league
For the 1947/48 season , the team rose to the then second-class state league Südwürttemberg . Integrated into the group south, the club reached second place in the table in its first season with 22:14 points. In the 1948/49 season it was only enough for seventh place with 18:22 points. After the 1949/50 season , the league was then dissolved. The team was in eleventh place after this season with 12:32 points. The club played in the 2nd amateur league from the next season . In the 1954/55 season , the club should then compete against FC Lindenberg in the first round of the WFV Cup . The game was left to FC without a fight and scored 3-0.
Time in lower amateur leagues
In 1970, the team won the district cup championship. In 1976, the club then once again achieved promotion to the 2nd amateur league. Due to an initiative of the football department, the SG became four independent clubs. From then on, the club was called SG Baienfurt - Fußball 1927 eV. At the end of the 80s, the team was able to make a name for itself in the top group of the state league.
Current time
In the 2003/04 season the team was champion of the district league B season II with 55 points and thus rose to the district league A season I for the 2004/05 season . In this league, the team was runner-up with 48 points. So the team was able to compete in the Bodensee district league again in the next season . The clubs started again with 48 points without worrying about direct relegation to the new league and finished sixth in the table this season. After the 2008/09 season, the team reached third place with 57 points. After the 2013/14 season, however, the club finally rose due to only 26 points and the resulting 16th and last place on the table. Back in the district league A1 , the club then placed 9th after the 2014/15 season. After the 2015/16 season, due to the 27 points at the end of the season and 12th place on the table, the club was originally supposed to be relegated but remained in the district league.In the next season, the team was able to get 4th place and 52nd place Consolidate points in the league. The team still plays in this league to this day.
